Magna5 will continue to communicate closely with Ingram Micro to gain a better understanding of the recent incident and to assess any remaining cybersecurity concerns.

Identified

Ingram Micro recently experienced a cybersecurity incident that is affecting some of their key business systems. Magna5 is actively monitoring the situation and would like to update you on how this may impact services.

Following discussions with Ingram Micro, we have confirmed that their access to client Microsoft environments remains restricted. As an authorized reseller, Ingram Micro’s involvement is limited to processing transactions and submitting support tickets to Microsoft. They do not have direct access to client Microsoft tenants. Ingram Micro has also assured us that this incident does not increase risk to client Microsoft tenants as a result of purchasing products or services through them.

Due to this incident, Magna5 is unable to place equipment and Microsoft 365 orders through Ingram Micro’s standard online portals. However, updates to Microsoft 365 licenses can still be processed, as Magna5 is coordinating directly with Ingram Micro using manual procedures.

To minimize any disruption to equipment orders, Magna5 is shifting orders to several of our existing alternative suppliers. We will reassess and resume ordering through Ingram Micro once their systems are fully operational.
