Customer Impact: During route advertisement changes customers may notice brief periods of increased latency, or packet loss as BGP routes re-converge and IX peers update.
Reason for Change: Magna5 will be expanding route availability between our Internet Exchange Points, allowing LINX, and PIT-IX route advertisements to be utilized more broadly across our network. This will help improve path selection, lower latency, and overall traffic performance.
